Koala Blue Water is bottled in Australia in Victorias Central Highlands, south-east of Ballarat. Springwater has been famous in this district since the gold-rush days of the 1860s and continues to flow from the subterranean aquafers as strongly and as pure as it did to supply Australias early settlers.
Throughout the year, as rains fall on the central highlands, it filters down into the basalt rock deep below the surface. Over decades of time this water filters into aquafers running through the basalt. This ancient source far pre-dates the arrival of man in this region, and holds some of the purest water on our planet.
Koala Blue Natural Spring Water percolates up from this source containing a range of healthy minerals, but no herbicides, pesticides or solvents. And it tastes great!
We use the term natural as Koala Blue spring water comes from a protected area and is bottled at the source.
Good water must offer at least one thing: PURITY. Pure water tastes wonderful, and it helps our bodies eliminate toxins, carcinogens and dangerous metals. Unfortunately, no surface water or municipal water that is chemically treated should be labeled pure.
The total dissolved solids (TDS) in bottled waters have long been given credit for curing everything from depression to arthritis, with good reason. In 1979, the French National Medical Academy proved that one brand of water did in fact prevent and control gout and kidney disease.
Today, leading research in the medical and diet industries indicates that calcium and magnesium seem to work together to strengthen our bodies. Both of these nutritional minerals are well represented in Koala Blue Natural Spring Water.

NUTRITIONAL INGREDIENTS
· Calcium is the most prevalent mineral in our bodies. It is the principal component for the growth and maintenance of healthy teeth and bones.
· Magnesium is essential for healthy muscle tone and is essential for well balanced nerve functions. It also aids in the metabolism of calcium and Vitamin C and the body needs it to convert blood sugar to energy a tonic nutrient.
· Potassium benefits muscle building and promotes vigor and energy.
Like all minerals, these three are best absorbed in a liquid form Koala Blue Natural Spring Water is healthy for you.
TASTE INGREDIENTS
· Sodium is essential to human life. It aids in the proper functioning of muscles and nerves while enhancing digestion.
While historically used as a popular flavour additive, consumer taste has shifted away from overly salty foods, and our low level of sodium should satisfy those who are controlling their intake.
· pH is a term used to indicate whether water is acidic or alkaline and 7.0 indicates neutral on a scale of 0 to 14. Citrus and tomato juices, and some soft drinks, will be acidic with a pH below 7.
It is recommended by the International Bottled Water Association that the pH of drinking water should be between 6.5 and 8.5
Koala Blue Natural Spring Water, at 7.7, is seen as soft, easy to drink with a pleasant palate.
· Chlorides are important in the human body as they contribute to the osmotic activity of body fluid.
· Bicarbonates are found in some spring waters, including Koala Blue Natural Spring Water. As they have long been valued as a digestive aid, we view them as an important ingredient in a 1st class drinking water.
THE MANUFACTURER
Koala Blue Natural Mineral Water is manufactured for Koala Blue by Palm Springs Ltd. Palm Springs Ltd is an Australian company listed on the Australian Stock Market and is capitalized at A$44mllion and specializes in the bottling and retailing of non-carbonated natural spring water to the national HOD (Home & office delivery) and retail markets. All information contained in this document has been provided by Palm Springs Ltd.
THE PROCESS
In the manufacture of Koala Blue Natural Mineral Water, Palm Springs utilises a multi-stage filtration and sterilisation system to ensure the natural spring water is bottled in optimum condition.

Electrolytic Sterilisation |

Stage Two |

Stage One Electrolytic Sterilisation
In the manufacture of Koala Blue Natural Mineral Water, Palm Springs utilises an electrolysis process, which inhibits the growth of natural bacteria by intro reducing trace amounts of colloidal silver particles into the spring water via a patented process called Electro Cathodic Particle Displacement. The process has been analysed by independent, nationally accredited laboratories and has been shown to meet or exceed all the relevant performance criteria.
The sterilisation system is activated by water flow, so that it only produces colloidal silver when spring water flows through the unit. The colloidal silver particles disassociate over time to generate silver ions, which then act as the sanitising agent. The ions prevent bacteria from metabolising oxygen and other nutrients and so any bacteria are eliminated. The spring water produced by the unit can be safely stored in a sealed container and the trace levels of silver will ensure that the spring water remains bacteriostatic for an extended period of time. Any residual trace levels of silver in the spring water are well within the recommended drinking water guidelines.
Stage Two Micro Filtration
The natural spring water passes through a multi-stage micron filtration system, which removes any suspended natural materials. The final filter stage is membrane filtration (which is rated at 0.2 micron). The membrane filters at a level that is five times smaller than common bacteria.
Stage Three Ultra Violet Sterilisation (U.V.)
Ultra Violet light sterilisation is commonly used in the sterilisation of water and also in the medical field. The natural spring water is passed through the ultra violet light at a pre determined flow rate to allow an effective exposure time for sterilisation.
Summary
As shown above, Palm Springs has a multi staged sterilisation process for the manufacture of Koala Blue Natural Mineral Water. Each stage is independent of each other and is designed to provide spring water at or above world class quality standards. Koala Blue Natural Mineral Water is packed with a two year use by code.
